On the 28th of January Franca Sozzani of Vogue Italia published an article on her personal blog that talked about fashion blogging. There’s a big talking around fashion blogging but the main part of this conversation is conducted by web users: bloggers, followers, fans… The big plus of this article we can finally have an external analysis of the phenomenon.
For me the most important sentence is: “What is the point? First of all, I don’t even know who they are, apart from someone, because they are many and very similar with each other, and they are so obsessed with changing their clothes in order to be noticed that to my eyes they automatically become a group, and not single persons”.
I completely agree with that: right now the main risk of fashion blogging is to become a fashion, and to be passé on the next season. So be creative, try to stand out from the crowd using what you really have to say, and not only your outfit.
